Mastercard strikes NFT payments deal with Coinbase amid a wave of recent crypto partnerships
Coinbase customers will be able to use Mastercard credit and debit cards to make purchases the crypto company’s upcoming NFT marketplace.
The deal is the latest in a flurry of crypto partnerships for Mastercard and Visa.
StockX Ties NFTs to Reality
Jeff Pratt breaks down the StockX Vault, which will allow users to trade sneakers without ever owning the physical product.
This new platform is meant to increase efficiency for sneakerheads, as it replaces large shipping fees with minimal transaction fees while also allowing the product to be flipped at a much faster rate.
Owners of each token are able to have the corresponding product delivered at any time. StockX CEO Scott Cutler also believes the StockX Vault will be able to improve the authenticity and traceability of the sneakers being sold.
NFT Marketplace OpenSea Acquires DeFi Wallet Firm Dharma Labs
Dharma co-founder Nadav Hollander will serve as OpenSea's chief technology officer.
Co-founder Alex Atallah had previously been in the CTO role. Atallah will step into a new role overseeing “NFT ecosystem development efforts,” according to the company blog post.
Just like Dharma, OpenSea serves assets on the Ethereum mainnet and Polygon’s Matic network, perhaps explaining why the firm was an acquisition fit. Dharma also boasts key integrations with many U.S. banks.
Xillion.one by ProjectX is a launchpad for NFT issuers, Celebrities, KOLs, and other key figures who would like to set up pools of NFTs and raise funds for it via a public sale (IDO style).
