Meta plans to take a nearly 50% cut on virtual asset sales in its metaverse

The 47.5% figure includes a hardware platform fee of 30% for sales made through the Meta Quest Store, where it sells apps and games for its virtual reality headsets.

On top of that, Horizon Worlds, will charge a 17.5% fee.

Meta’s fees for the sale of virtual assets on Horizon Worlds are significantly more than the 30% Apple charges developers on its App Store.

Amazon Not Accepting Cryptocurrency Soon, May Get Into NFTs, CEO Says

Andy Jassy also says Amazon is still facing headwinds from logistics and fuel costs in an interview with CNBC.

Jassy doesn’t own bitcoin, he said, but acknowledged cryptocurrency’s potential.

Jassy didn’t give a timeline for Amazon adding features for buying or selling NFTs. "I think it’s possible down the road on the platform," he said.

Japanese Messaging App Giant Line Launches NFT Marketplace

Line NFT marketplace will offer around 40,000 digital collectibles to its 90 million Japanese users.

Even though the company provides its services in numerous countries in Asia, the opportunity will first be available only to Japanese users.

The entity assured it will add more NFTs from different genres later by partnering with Line Family services and other companies.Once purchased, customers can store their collectibles in their Line BITMAX Wallet. They can also send or exchange NFTs with other users via the application.
